Talebanken – Database for dialect research

Talebanken (Norwegian dialect database) has been developed for the project Talemål at the Department for Linguistic, Literary and Aesthetic Studies, University of Bergen.

Talebanken contains material from the following municipalities:

1. Midsund, Molde, Vanylven, Årdal, Øygarden, Bergen, Odda, Sauda, Stavanger, Hå

The Faroese dialect database Føroyskur talumálsbanki, which is also hosted here, is being developed at Fróðskaparsetur Føroya, Torshavn.

Researchers can get access to Talebanken by agreement with the project leader (ragnhild.anderson AT lle.uib.no).
