ASK – Norsk andrespråkskorpus

Norsk andrespråkskorpus (ASK) is an electronic, searchable text corpus for Norwegian as second language where language data and personal data are linked. The datasets are taken from the archive of the Norwegian Language Test on immigrants who have passed the Norwegian language test for adult immigrants and the Higher level test.

The texts have mainly been chosen on the basis of the candidates’ mother tongues, where it was aimed for typological diversity.

Application for access to the ASK corpus

For access to ASK a training course is mandatory. For information on training, please contact Ann-Kristin Helland Gujord.

If you are connected to a Norwegian institution of higher education, you can log in via Feide (choose CLARIN SPF on top of the page, and search for Feide). After you have logged in at ASK for the first time, you will be given access to the corpus. This may take up to one day.
